I believe in God and His passion for His creation. And yes, I am a Christian. With this in mind, some of you who follow my blogs may find this offensive. So – just don’t read this one. It’s about women, our basic branding and it’s about romance. It’s about why women are so beautiful and why we were created that way.
Today, on CBS This Morning, Domino’s [Pizza] CEO Patrick Doyle was being interviewed on “branding”. Interestingly enough, I was going to do a blog on that very same thing. Then I realized that what he said about transparency and authenticity and change was also a big part of a woman’s branding; being a complete, transparent, authentic, romantic woman. We do it so well! Now “change”? That is an issue we all struggle with. But sometimes you just have to re-invent yourself just to get closer to the image in which you were originally created. That often requires change. However the key ingredients are innately there already.
“So God endows Woman with certain qualities that are essential to relationship; qualities that speak of God. She is inviting. She is vulnerable. She is tender. She embodies mercy. She is also fierce and fiercely devoted. She longs to be sought after with the whole heart of her pursuer.
God longs to be desired. Just as a woman longs to be desired. This is not some weakness or insecurity on the part of a woman, that deep yearning to be desired. God feels the same way”, says John Eldredge, http://store.ransomedheart.com/captivating-revised-and-expanded.html.
“Tender and inviting, intimate and alluring, fiercely devoted. Oh yes, our God has a passionate, romantic heart. Just look at Eve,” says Eldredge.
We are all of this! It is a part of our beauty, our transparency our authenticity; our basic branding.
