Unknowingly, a lot of us have been wearing clothes that make us appear older than we actually are, especially due to the nature of our work. To look more youthful isn’t really that difficult. All it takes is a little time for an update!
Here are some tips:
Try out a new hairstyle. Either use the online tools where you insert your picture into several different hair styles or let your stylist make some suggestions. To lift your face, cover the gray and go a shade lighter with either highlighting or full color.
Switch to fashionable glasses or try contact lenses.
Put on some light makeup to help lift your face. Avoid heavy makeup and heavy under-eye makeup. It only ages you.
Try out new clothing styles. Add a little color! Yes, appropriate dressing for work is important, especially when your job involves frequent meeting with clients. But that doesn’t mean that you have to stick to the same dark, suited look. As long as your attire is not too short, too tight, too revealing or too bright, you can still have fun with mixing and matching while maintaining your professional image.
For instance, instead of the usual black pants & skirt, you can also go for Glen check pants or the latest shade of blue or green pants, or maybe a colored Pencil skirt or a softly flared knee Skirt.
Match them with a yellow belted blouse or a mint chiffon blouse, or any white, blue or red stripe top. The new simple dresses are great or you can wear your favorite LBD with a multitude of colored blazers.
Give a pop of color to an ordinarily dull outfit by choosing colorful accessories combined with interesting shoes.
You deserve to look your best everyday. Last but never least – wear a smile!
